I did try the trial for Pianoteq 6, but I cant find Ravenscroft 275 anywhere, which is the software which Ive heard is most beneficial for the VPC1. Who's Who - Professional Pianists on Piano World I did actually try to find some of the software online before investing, but I could only find the Pianoteq 2.3. But that's not realistic if you're trying to simulate the behavior of an acoustic piano and there's no way to tell Piano Marvel to ignore notes with velocity=1 when it's deciding whether you played the correct note or not.ĭigital Pianos - Electronic Pianos - Synths &a. You can manually adjust the velocity curve in Pianoteq, however, so that velocity=1 gives you volume=1 instead of volume=0. It responds and interacts just like a real acoustic instrument, and allows you to tweak the beautiful sounds in amazing ways all with a tiny memory footprint. Pianoteq sees velocity=1 and interprets it like an acoustic piano escapement/let-off mechanism (or whatever the right terminology is) where the hammer would never strike the strings and so it would make no sound at all (not coming from the strings anyway). Pianoteq uses a unique powerful physical model that creates the sound in realtime as you play instead of playing back a set of recorded samples. Piano Marvel sees velocity=1 and counts that as a note being played and scores it accordingly. Im trying to run my VPC1 off of my Surface Go with the Pianoteq 7 trial (I have a license for 6 but dont want to activate it until I have the system set up). I should have added that I doubted the VPC1 would be worse than ES8 when it comes to exposed length of the keys. I think I understand better what's going on now, and I'm not sure who to blame: the VPC-1, Pianoteq, or Piano Marvel. Yes, silent notes is the other extreme of the issue that I'm finding with the MIDI consistency,
